The National Amateur Disc Golf Championship (NADGC) is rapidly approaching, and excitement continues to build as organizers unveil new courses, expanded player packs, and a lineup of events that could make 2026 one of the most memorable years in tournament history.

With a host of new attractions designed for players of all skill levels, this year’s championship promises far more than just competition. From a first-ever trade show and obstacle course challenge to upgraded fan experiences and exclusive side events, NADGC 2026 is positioning itself as a destination event for the entire disc golf community.

New Courses and Division Pools Announced

Tournament organizers have officially released the course schedule and division pooling assignments. While several fan-favorite Austin-area courses return to the lineup, players will also see some fresh additions and the return of courses that have not been used in recent years.

Among the most notable additions is Rivery Park in North Austin, a scenic course expected to provide an ideal challenge for several age-protected divisions and select women’s divisions. Organizers have also adjusted course assignments across divisions, giving returning competitors the opportunity to experience different venues than in previous years.

Side Event series

The NADGT runs a series of PDGA flex-start events during the week of the championships crowning Kings and Queens of their divisions who receive WWF style full size championship wrestling belts. This year we have moved the side events back to where they started at Live Oak Brewery. We believe this gives players a great chance to enjoy play while winding down after the rounds and also gives them a great place to do it with a great atmosphere.

NADGT has long been known for delivering one of the strongest player packages in amateur disc golf, and 2026 continues that tradition. This year’s focus is on premium apparel and player essentials. Every competitor will receive:

First-Ever NADGC Trade Show and Expo

One of the biggest additions to the 2026 event is the inaugural NADGC Trade Show, scheduled for October 26–27. The goal is to create a full-scale expo experience alongside the championship. Attendees can expect appearances from many of the sport’s most recognizable personalities and professional players, while also enjoying exhibits from a wide variety of vendors beyond the disc golf industry.

Organizers recognize that many competitors travel with friends and family, and the expanded vendor selection is designed to offer something for everyone – not just dedicated disc golfers.

New Disc Golf Obstacle Warrior Challenge

Another major attraction this year is the debut of the Disc Golf Obstacle Warrior Course. Located around the Palmer Center during the trade show, the challenge will test players through a series of skill-based stations. Competitors will face unique shot-making tasks and receive multiple attempts at each station, with winners determined by the fastest completion times and overall performance. The event is expected to provide a fun and competitive experience for players and spectators alike.

Seminars and Meet-and-Greets with Top Pros

The trade show will also feature educational seminars and meet-and-greet opportunities with some of disc golf’s most recognizable figures, including:

  • Gannon Buhr
  • Paul Ulibarri
  • Jay & Des Reading
  • Dave Feldberg
  • Numerous additional professional players and industry personalities will be announced over the next few months.

These sessions will give fans unprecedented access to some of the sport’s biggest names.

New Competitive Events Added to Championship Week

The week leading into NADGC will include several tournament opportunities.

Competitors can participate in an NADGC A-Tier Doubles Event, creating an additional competitive experience before the championship begins.

Also making its debut is the NADDT Director’s Cup, an invitational event for NADGT tournament directors. Once invitations have been accepted, any remaining spots may be opened to directors from other PDGA-sanctioned events held during the 2026 season. NADGT tournament directors will receive complimentary entry.

Thursday Night Showcase Gets a Major Upgrade

One of the most anticipated improvements for 2026 is the revamped Thursday night showcase at Harvey Penick Golf Campus. Previous versions of the event used a glow-style format inspired by Topgolf. While the concept was popular, visibility challenges often made it difficult for spectators to fully appreciate the action.

This year, tournament director Dave Feldberg has moved the competition to daylight hours while maintaining the colorful target setup. Fans will now be able to clearly follow every throw, watch discs travel toward their targets, and keep track of scoring in real time. The enhanced experience will also feature a food truck and a professional player clinic and meet-and-greet immediately following the event.

More Announcements Still to Come!

Despite the extensive list of new additions already announced, organizers say more surprises are on the way. With premier courses, a packed event schedule, a substantial player package, and new attractions for competitors and fans, NADGC 2026 is shaping up to be one of the most ambitious amateur disc golf championships ever held.

Austin is the place to be this fall, and there’s still plenty of time for player’s to earn their invitation!
