PLAYER HANDBOOK

  • Any true amateur class disc golfer as defined by the PDGA with a player rating of 999* or less
  • Any player who is permitted to play as an amateur based on their player rating* and has not had more than $1,000 earnings in 2020 and has not had more than $3,000 in career earnings
  • True amateur player must have a rating of 999 or less PRIOR to competing in their first 2020 NADGT event. A player who’s rating climbs above 999 prior to National Championships will still be allowed to compete.
  • PDGA Members and non-members are welcome to compete. Non-member PDGA $10 fee will be charged, but the PDGA will credit the $10 as a discount to a new PDGA membership if the player would like to join the PDGA after the event.

  • All NADGT Tournaments will follow the Official Rules of Disc Golf as defined by the PDGA and the PDGA Competition Manual for Disc Golf Events unless superseded or contradicted by any statement in this handbook.
  • All PDGA Divisions are hosted by the NADGT Tour and will be offered per the guidelines of PDGA and at the discretion of the TD. All contested divisions with a minimum of 10 competitors regionally or nationally are eligible for the respective regional or national online payouts. The National Championship, a PDGA Pro/Am Invitational tournament for Amateurs Only, will crown champions in the MA1, FA1, MA40, MA50 divisions only. Intermediate Men will be invited, but they will be playing in an PDGA amateur side of the event.
  • Any exceptions to the Official Rules at a specific NADGT Tournament will be announced at the players meeting prior to the event.
  • All competitors in NADGT Tournaments are expected to compete with the highest integrity and respect for the Official Rules as defined by the PDGA. Any competitor guilty of misconduct is subject to disciplinary action up to disqualification by the TD. Any competitor disqualified from a NADGT Tournament automatically forfeits any further participation in 2020 NADGT tournaments, prize payouts, player package and if applicable, refunds therefrom.
  • Any appeals must be made in writing via email to the NADGT TD and allow a minimum of 3 weeks for response.
PREMIER EVENT
  • A-tier or B-tier PDGA event
  • 12-16 events nationwide for 2020
  • 2 Day event with a minimum of 3 Rounds of 18 holes
  • $80 entry fee with $125 player’s pack including lunch BOTH days
  • Top Finishers in each division get invite to National Championships. See diagram for details
  • Additional payouts hosted through NADGT.com and determined by field size
  • For Premier events, a B-Tier will use PDGA points with a 1.33x multiplier. This is an attempt to balance the point structure for Premier events as A-Tiers are awarded 1.33x more points than a B-Tier. B Tier=7.5 points per payer beat. A-Tier=10 points per player beat. 7.5 x 1.33=10 Thus A and B Tier events will report balanced point earnings
  • Players have 30 days from invite to register for Nationals or spot will be forfeited
EXCLUSIVE EVENT
  • B-tier PDGA event
  • 100+ events nationwide for 2020
  • 1 Day event with a minimum of 2 rounds and 36 holes
  • $50 entry fee with $75 player’s pack
  • Top Finishers in each division get invite to National Championships. See diagram for details
  • Additional payouts hosted through NADGT.com and determined by field size
  • Standard PDGA B Tier points to be used for NADGT points
  • Players have 30 days from invite to register for Nationals or spot will be forfeited
LEAGUE SERIES
  • New format for 2020. Existing or New, PDGA Sanctioned OR Non Sanctioned Leagues
  • $60 entry fee with $75 players pack and 6 rounds of League play
  • 20 Points per round + 1 point per player beat per round (all play in 1 division)*.
  • Winner at end of League Series gets PAID entry into any NADGT Premier event
  • Runner-up gets PAID entry into and NADGT Exclusive event
  • $100 scrip series payout hosted thought NADGT.com
  • Works with up to 10 events. Additional $10 per round for weeks 7-10. Top 6 finishes can be used
  • *League scoring system is EXCLUSIVE to NADGT and is not to be used with PDGA League Points.
C-FLEX TIERS
  • PDGA A-Tier/B-Tier/C-Tier
  • Non-NADGT Branded tournament that is part of the NADGT Point Series
  • $15 and $25 player package options based on TD’s choice
  • Standard PDGA points based on tier to be used for NADGT points
  • Thursday/Friday Flex Start C-Tiers are an ideal way to add NADGT to almost any larger weekend event
  • *League scoring system is EXCLUSIVE to NADGT and is not to be used with PDGA League Points.
AFFILIATE EVENTS

Description: PDGA Sanctioned A-,B-,or C- tiers; For 2020, any PDGA sanctioned tournament TD may elect to affiliate with the NADGT Tour by providing competitors NADGT Player Packages. All amateur competitors in NADGT Affiliate events earn NADGT points based on PDGA tier level.

Player Package: Players Packages offer two options:

$15 per player- each player will recieve NADGT points , choice of disc from all brands, towel, abd disvount card.

$5 per player- each player will receive NADGT points and a towel.

  • one of 13 manufacturer custom player packages including (in alphabetical order)DGA Discmania, Discraft, Gateway, Kastaplast, Infinite, Innova, Latitude 64, Legacy, Millennium MVP, ProDiscus and Prodigy; or
  • NADGT TD’s may elect to align with a single manufacturer, in that case - competitors will receive that manufacturer’s player package. Such will be clearly noted when registering.

Year-end Payouts: Every affiliate competitor is also eligible, via their NADGT Points, for year-end Regional and National online payouts.

  • Competitors receive NADGT Points when competing in all events including Premier, Exclusive, Affiliate, Flex-Starts, Leagues or National Championships
  • Competitor’s NADGT Point Totals are the basis for regional and national rankings and payouts
  • NADGT Events (not Leagues) will use the PDGA Points system and totals
  • For Premier events, a B-Tier will use PDGA points with a 1.33x multiplier. This is an attempt to balance the point structure for Premier events as A-Tiers are awarded 1.33x more points than a B-Tier. B Tier=7.5 points per payer beat. A-Tier=10 points per player beat. 7.5 x 1.33=10
  • NADGT League Series and Single Series (not Events) will not use PDGA Points system as not all NADGT Leagues are sanctioned PDGA Leagues
  • To help ensure that these divisions are able to generate points nationwide MA40 and MA50 NADGT points will be generated as one division. MA40 and MA50 will be listed as independent divisions on PDGA results and will still earn NADGT awards, payouts and invites based on individual divisions. TD’s are instructed to allow single player divisions to participate when applicable.
  • Regional Point Series concludes and regional payouts awarded 9/1/2020
  • National Point Series will conclude and national payouts awarded 11/1/2020

  • All national payouts are hosted by NADGT.com and a portion of the payout may include predetermined sponsor prizes. Competitors may redeem their winnings with free shipping via NADGT.com.
Regional Payouts:
  • For every division contested with 10 or more competitors within a region, year-end online payouts will be awarded to each division as ranked by NADGT Points. Tracking and Reporting
  • NADGT Points are tracked and reported on a regional and national basis; Current standings can be found via the ‘Standings’ tab at NADGT.com.
  • Individual Competitors may also review their NADGT events, point summaries and standings via the player profiles hosted at NADGT.com.
Regions
  • Northeast: Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania Rhode Island, Vermont, Virginia and West Virginia.
  • Southeast: Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee
  • Midwest: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio and Wisconsin
  • Central: Arkansas, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma and Texas
  • Mountain: Colorado, Idaho, Montana, North Dakota, South Dakota, Utah and Wyoming
  • Southwest: Arizona, California, Nevada and New Mexico
  • Northwest: Alaska, Hawaii, Oregon and Washington
  • Canada : All Provinces.
REGISTRATION:
  • Event registrations will take place on DiscGolfScene and will open no less than 3 weeks prior to the event. All events and registration links may be found at NADGT.com
  • Registration for the National Championship Tournament is by invitation only; Qualified invitees will be sent registration information once they have qualified for an invitation as described in this handbook
  • TD’s may add courses fees to registration process. Fees are not to exceed $9 without approval from NADGT. NADGT will oversee numbers to ensure funds are properly used and applied
LATE FEES
  • A standard $7 late registration fee will go into effect when players packs are ordered for the event, approximately 7-10 days prior to the event.
  • Late fees sole purpose is for shipping of the players package directly to the player. No players pack will be available at the event for any player the incurred a late fee.
REFUNDS: 2 WEEKS AND MORE PRIOR TO THE EVENT
  • Premier, Exclusive and League refunds are managed by NADGT staff and will follow PDGA guidelines unless specifically noted
  • Full refund less processing fees
  • Affiliate refunds are managed by the individual Tournament Director and not the responsibility of NADGT
WITHDRAWALS: LESS THAN 2 WEEKS TO 2 HOURS PRIOR TO THE EVENT
  • Premier, Exclusive and League withdrawals are managed by NADGT staff and will follow PDGA guidelines
  • At the discretion of the NADGT Staff, either a cash refund or players package will be awarded. NADGT Staff will seek to administer any such requests within 15 days after the event is completed.
  • Affiliate withdrawals are managed by the individual Tournament Director and not the responsibility of NADGT
NO-SHOWS:

Competitor will be treated as ‘no-show’ if they do not check-in by the published time. Any ‘no-show’ competitor who has not withdrawn as per above, forfeit their entry fee and players package.

The NADGT reserves the right to make changes to tournament dates, field sizes, formats, prizes and locations. All such changes will be clearly communicated as necessary. The NADGT reserves the right to make any changes to prizes, prize value or substitutions. In the event of a substitution, all efforts will be made to provide an alternative of equal or greater value. Prizes are non-transferrable, other than cash prizes which may be awarded to the Winner’s parent/legal guardian in the event they are a minor; Prize winners are solely responsible for all applicable taxes related to accepting the prize. Winners may be required to sign an affidavit of eligibility, a liability release, publicity release (unless prohibited by law), and tax documents (the “Documents”). If the winner does not complete the required Documents as instructed and/or return the required Documents within the time period listed on the Winner notification message, the prize will be forfeited. The NADGT Disc Golf reserves the right to award any forfeited prizes as they see fit, or not at all.
